Rebates and incentives (like paying you to get rid of your old refrigerator), vary with each utility. Check below for links to the various appliance programs offered by utilities serving Garfield County.
Glenwood Springs Electric Appliance Rebates
- Clothes washer: $75
- Dishwasher: $50
- Refrigerator: $100
Replace an old refrigerator or freezer (15 years or older), or retire that spare fridge out in the garage: $50
Old equipment must be recycled.
Appliance rebates are available as a part of Xcel Energy’s Home Performance Rebate with ENERGY STAR program. Start with a home energy assessment, then complete at least 3 recommended measures for deep savings in energy costs.

CORE, the Community Office for Resource Efficiency, offers rebates to residents of the Roaring Fork Valley, from Glenwood Springs to Aspen, for the purchase of a new ENERGY STAR refrigerator, CEE Tier 3 models only. (30% more efficient than baseline standards.)
